Just got the WW dark walnut brown thick strap and I already have the WW oxblood thick strap and I’d just like to say that the smell of these two straps sends me back to 1966 when I was a 17 year old gigging guitarist. There was a saddle shop in a Chicago suburb and they had this guy that would cut and tool leather. For $30. he’d cut a piece of leather punch a hole at each end and you would be on your way. He was pretty well known and he had a big following of musicians that wore his straps.
Anyways, when you walked into that saddle shop the smell of cut and tooled leather was so powerful that I never was hit the same way until I have smelled the WW straps. By the way, $30. was a lot of money back in 1966 I was making minimum wage of $1.10 an hour flippin’ hamburgers at a drive-in. Hell, $30. was half of what I paid for my guitar but I had me a Libertyville Saddle Shop strap! “…BLACK IS BLA…HAK, I WANT MA BABY BACK…”
